My Wonderful Neighbors

One day I was watering our boxes in the new community garden and realized how badly the grass needed to be mowed and trimmed. I went home, got on the computer, and sent an e-mail to everyone involved in the garden suggesting that we have a cleanup day followed by a hot dog and s'more cookout. The next day a bunch of people showed up with three push mowers and together we got the place looking great in a couple hours.

We built a fire pit from the bricks that elevated the rain barrel last year, and cooked some amazing frankfurters from Porktown Sausage (available at Supino Pizzeria).

Wendell got a ball park frank, but he had to work for it:

I love walking among all my neighbors' boxes at the garden and seeing what they're growing. I love that when someone goes out of town, someone is always there to water and weed for them. I just love this garden.
