Good News from Ezra Caldwell

Posted by jdg | 7:50 PM

I had just started following Ezra Caldwell's flickr stream last summer (beautiful bikes, lovely girls, Glen Hansard) when he was diagnosed with "ass cancer" (his words). I have long admired Ezra's craftsmanship at Fastboy Cycles and those beautiful custom bikes (particularly the breathtaking wooden handlebars and fenders), but last summer I found myself really drawn into his story of enduring chemotherapy through the powerful words and photography on his blog Teaching Cancer to Cry. In addition to fighting like hell for his own life, Ezra has also recently been coping with his father's suicide.

But this past week Ezra announced that he had completed chemotherapy, and that he's moving on with his life and getting married. Here's to hundreds more beautiful bikes from this guy for years to come.
